The foster home is financed entirely by donations and has a lot of expenses: First the rent, that has to be paid monthly. Then food and litter, many of the kittens need costly special feed for their conditions. And not least the medical bills for vaccinations, sterilization and treatment of injuries and diseases.

In recent years the situation has worsened due to inflation. Many things have become much more expensive and fewer people are willing or able to support the shelter. To say the truth: Several times it was not clear whether the debt could be paid or whether the shelter would have to close.
